Nathaniel Pleasant, MD, is a double board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist who provides comprehensive patient care at Pain Consultants of Atlanta’s office and surgery centers in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta and Fayetteville, Georgia.
Dr. Pleasant completed his undergraduate education at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, before pursuing his medical degree at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville. Dr. Pleasant also holds a master’s degree in public health from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill.
Following medical school, Dr. Pleasant completed an internship in general surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed his residency in anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.
Driven by his passion for interventional pain medicine, Dr. Pleasant pursued Weill Cornell’s highly coveted Tri-Institute Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship in New York. During this fellowship, he gained valuable experience working at prestigious institutions such as Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Hospital for Special Surgery, and New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Pleasant is currently accepting new patients. He is an active member of the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Georgia Society of Anesthesiologists, ensuring that he remains up-to-date with the latest advancements in his field. With his comprehensive training and commitment to patient care, Dr. Pleasant strives to improve the quality of life for individuals suffering from pain, providing the most advanced treatment options for his patients.
